Dr Nathan Stewart graduated with degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 2001.
He pursued further education while working as a junior doctor, and in 2006 he obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Western Australia.
After receiving his Post Graduate Diploma, he moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete the Master of Surgery Program. Here he studied alongside the research team at Westmead Hospital investigating the role of white blood cells in wound healing.
In 2009, Dr Stewart returned to Perth to complete his 5 years of comprehensive specialist training, which took place at Princess Margaret Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Royal Perth Hospital. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, and became a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 2015.
Dr Stewart then took part in further training in the United Kingdom at St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, before returning to Perth and joining the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre in 2016.
Dr Stewart is also a Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
