When can I return to the gym after my breast augmentation?

This is a commonly asked question by women undergoing breast augmentation.
My recommendation is no heavy upper body activity for at least 6 weeks after surgery.

I would avoid gym work and exercise completely for the first 2 weeks while the wounds healed.  Some gentle walking is fine.  Once the wounds are healed you can increase your level of exercise but avoid running and activities that engage your chest muscles.  Go slowly and importantly listen to your body.  If something is sore then stop.

At the 6 week mark you will see me for a further checkup, and if everything is going great then there are no further restrictions.
